Golden Retrievers were originally bred in Scotland in the mid-19th century. At that time, goose hunting was a favorite pastime for the Scottish nobility; But the golden retrievers of that time could not go into the water to fetch the game. The existence of a race that could go into the water and bring the game to the hunters was obligatory and necessary at that time, because there were many lakes around them and the birds that hunted fell into the water and were no longer able to catch them.

To solve this problem, the hunters mixed the best breed of spaniels, who were good swimmers, with the golden retrievers that existed at that time, and the breed we know today as the golden retriever was born. They created a breed that is very trainable and also has a soft mouth that does not harm it when bringing game and is easily trained and has sufficient intelligence and can communicate well with humans.
